amd crash when 7950 graphics card enabled

Specs: Windows 8
I am operating windows 8 and get constant but intermitant crashes when I enable the amd radeon HD7950 graphics card that came with the machine. When I disable it I have no problems. Have unloadeed the drivers and reinstalled numerous times but the same occurs

You provided no system specs. How do you expect to get help when we have no idea what you have?

The HD 7950 is high end gaming card that requires a minimum of a 500W power supply. And considering the cost of the card ($300 +/-), the PSU should be a darn good one to protect your investment.

When you say "crashes", does that mean you're getting BSODs? If you are, post the info from the blue screen.

I have an high end gaming machine with more than adequate power supply. As you so politely asked the specs as follows:

amd fx 8150 3.6 ghz 8 core processor
16 gg ddr3 ram
3tb sata hard disk drive
120gb SATA3 solid state drive. That help?
The crash is a complete failure of the graphics card with no signal to the monitor.
