Comment:

I just put together a new computer with the AMD 64-bit processor. Nothing works of course there are no post beeps at all and there is no video but there is power to fans and hard drive. I have stripped it down so all that is left is a power supply, video card, motherboard, cpu and 1 stick of ram. This is the second motherboard and cpu that do not work. I have tried 2 different power supplies and the ram was tested in another computer and worked fine and the ram is rated for that motherboard. I have also tried both agp and pci video card with no luck. Any ideas?

Also I do not have any documentation for the motherboard does anyone know if the 4 pin connector from the power supply has to be connected with the AMD cause I now for the P4s you need it connected. Thanks.

Take the motherboard out of the case and lay it on a peice of cardboard and see if it will boot up.
