Specs: Windows 64
Hi. I'm planning on building an AMD machine, to be used mainly for gaming and streaming multimedia. I've been out of the pc building/hardware scene since the days of the nForce2 chipsets and 9800pro's lol. I'm building this system around an FX8350. Planning on running a GeForce 980 or 980Ti. Any recommendations on motherboard, ram and power supply are welcome. Leaning towards the 990FX chipset. Going with 16GB of (1866?) for starters. May upgrade to 32GB. As well, considering the size of today's video cards, should I go with a full size ATX case or is a mid size suitable?

Money to burn? Personally, I would never spend $600 on a graphics card. That makes it difficult to recommend hardware because I always try to go with best values, not bleeding edge. So do with these what you may:

3 power supply suggestions; two are 600W (one hardwired, one modular), one 750W (modular). If you plan on adding a 2nd graphics card, go with the 750W.

Plenty of 16GB (2x8GB) RAM kits to choose from. DDR3-2133 isn't much more expensive than DDR3-1866, but scaling charts show that there isn't a whole lot of difference.
