Are there any cheaper alternitives to those cans of compressed air? Has any one tryed liek butain(bad idea cuz it's addictive) or propane? Anything else?

PS: I relize that propane and butane are flamable and could exploded. I was jsut using those as examples as I couldn't think of any other pressurized gasses. So pelase don't blow your self up.

Think about it. What could be cheaper to compress than air. If you have to use cans very often, it might be cheaper and/or more convenient to get a small compressor.

I use a hairdryer set to cold and maximum blast. Also a long thin brush to assist.

Cleans out all the muck I ever wanted rid off.

If doing this in the house, best to wait until her'indoors is out otherwise an ear bashing is sure to ensue, especially as it will probably be her dryer.

Good luck - Keep us posted.

Compressed air is actualyl expensive. For airsoft guns (shoot bbs with compressed air) the "special" air you can buy is way over prices, when all it is is propane. That is why I asked. I liek the hair dryer idea.

I use a small air compressor. You sometimes can get a kit at Checker/Kraegen auto store for about $90. If you have a vacuum cleaner with a blower connection, that is also very good, high volume, low pressure. Take the bag out. Do your blowing outside, then you won't have a cloud of dust inside.

Moisture is a concern when using a compressor. If you're too cheap to buy a can or two per year, go with the hairdryer advice.

I use a cheap $40 Ridgid shop-vac I got from Home depot, it has an exhaust port and I just hook the hose up to that and it blows the dust out of every single crevice. It's very nice!
