Alt keys stopped working on USB keyboard

Specs: Windows XP
Both the alt keys stopped working on my relatively new usb keyboard and I suspect I accidentally disabled them somehow. I have not spilled anything on it (it's supposedly spill-proof anyway). I have tried turning off/on sticky keys. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver. The keyboard is working properly according to device manager. I tried System Restore to a point before this started but got the message "no changes have been made" and the problem persisted.

I never realized how often I use alt with shortcuts until it stopped! They don't work regardless of which input language is on (English--United States; English--International). Did I just buy a shoddy product? It's a Gearhead Windows Media Pro USB keyboard.

Try the keyboard on another computer, if it works, then the keyboard it fine, if it does not, then the keyboard is bad. If it is under warranty, return it for replacement.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
