Please help me on this one.
Ever since I have installed the drivers for this card, my system has become very unstable. I get many device driver warnings/errors, sometimes while doing something and sometimes just randomly, when the machine is idle. If I click on any of the mmc apps, I have about a one in three chance of it working. Usually it just locks up hard, and sometimes recovers with a message "Windows has detected and recovered from a device driver error. To restore full functionality, please reboot." The thing is, i've installed the latest drivers for everything. The TV app is particularly notorious- usually it will run for about five minutes and then lock up hard- I have to reset w/ the reset switch. I can't record more than about a minute of an mpeg2 file without it locking hard, or bluescreening with "ati2vaxx.dll" as the STOP error driver. I've reinstalled drivers numerous times. I can't seem to find a fix for the problems that I am having. ATI's website is rather unhelpful, with just an FAQ. I've e-mailed people ther about four weeks ago, and they haven't responded.
Has anyone had this same problem?? I just cannot get the thing to run stably. It also corrupted some o fmy other devices(my firewire hub on the motherboard "cannot start" now) I've posted on five other message boards with no responses. Please help!!
Thanks.

what are your system specs?
Have you installed the new catalist drivers for the card?
Why not try the old ones if the new ones don't work?
I need a bit more information about your systems os as well.

It's brand new. Less than 3 weeks old. I have replaced the heatsink with one o' those big zalman heatsinks, dont know if it could cause problems.

Did you use thermal compound like artic silver 3,if you did you might have used to much and smeared it onto the circuitry by accident.Check it.
