I just bought an ATI All in Wonder 9600XT card and I want to install it on my Athlon 64 system which has an Asus K8V-X motherboard. On the side of the 9600xt box, it states that AGP 8x is 0.8v and agp 4x is 1.5v.
Now in the K8V-X manual it states, and I quote: "The accelerated graphics port (agp) slot supports AGP 8x/4x (1.5v) cards. When you buy an AGP card, make sure that you ask for one with +1.5v specification."
Does this mean (a) This card will only work at 4x speed on my machine or (b) won't work at all and could damage my system?
