Ok i was looking the test results for agp and pcie video cards...more specifically the 6800gt versions of both. How come the agp version scored significantly better than the pcie? To my understanding the pcie version is supposed to be faster.....can somebody please explain?

Clive,

Are you really surprised? New technology that's supposed to replace the old because it's supposedly better, ends up to NOT being the case.

Interesting. I haven't seen the 6800gt agp vs. pci-e scores.
I, myself, have not yet made the move to pci-e just yet. Like other major hardware or OS, I have to give it some time and see what the users think of it, before I make the switch. Also, pci-e 2 is supposed to come out soon.

I just find it odd how running the same core and everything the pcie ends up dramatically slower.
