AGP stops on Windows Boot Screen

Thank you ahead. On PON, the W screen comes up normally on any AGP card but as soon as it is about to go to the Desktop screen, it cuts out blank/black. Because I know the boot-up by heart, I can blindly key-sequence to Restart/Shutdown with no issues. If I re-install or have the PCI video card at the same time, you can see W go right along normally, with no Scan from my previous shutdowns. (I just move the video cable back to PCI card.) I lost the CD that came with the MB (as it was suggested the AGP driver is probably there)so I have two ?s: 1) Where to find that CD or its contents; 2) How to make the system see a "new AGP" bridge/hardware so that it asks for the cool driver so that W will continue to boot? Does this make sense to anyone? MB: 5MVP3 AT form factor, Ver. 4.0; VIA chipset with (I think)latest BIOS - MVP3-586B-ITE 2A5LEL1BC-01; Four different AGP cards with either Nvidia or ATI from the 2000 era (8MB or 4MB) and AGP 2.0 compliant, as the MB is. It used to work but silly me let go of the card and went to PCI to help out another PC. Thank you! -LL
