Hi there, I have just acquired a new motherboard and have just discovered the new PCIEX16 slot when attempting to install my AGP graphics card, I was wondering whether it was possible to install and AGP card into the PCIe slot to get my computer up and running until I can afford a new PCIe card?

No. Only put PCIe cards in PCIe slots.

AGP cards go in AGP slots...PCIe x16 cards go in PCIe x16 slots. They are NOT interchangable.
