Hi. Im thinking of getting a new mobo soon. My video card is a geforce 6600 and its Agp 8x. My Mobo only suports Agp 4x. If i get a new mobo with Agp 8x will it make alot of diffrence.

From what I've heard the improvement from AGP 4X to 8X is pretty small. I think most people would say to switch to PCI-E or PCI-X if you are going to change motherboards.
Do yourself a favor BACKUP!

from what i remember reading (tests) when agp 8x first appeared, may be 10% ?difference over agp 4x

I dont think its a nice idea to upgrade your mobo only so as to exploit the 8x capability of your 6600.
Might as well wait until you have more cash and go for a nice upgrade of the 1800. The advantage will be faster RAM, hard disk, chipset and video interface.
even at 4x, the 6600 can still pull off quite a few games, though there will be *some* frame loss at 4x Vs 8x
