Check your motherboard manual or the Chaintech website. The available voltage at the AGP slot & the voltage requirements of the card will be the deciding factors.
As Jam says, check the spec, but in general agp 8x mobos are only compatible with agp4x and 8x, NOT 2X. This is because the voltages are different. 2x cards run on 3.3volts, 4x cards run on 1.5volt. Many mobo manuals say Warning you can only use 1.5volt agp graphics card. This is another wau of saying Do Not Use AGP 2x cards. If the slot and the card are 'keyed' correctly, then a agp 2x card will not go in the slot anyway
