My ADSL Modem came from my phone company. Question how or is there a way to check one out. In the last 13 hours I have lost connection 250 times. They think modem is bad. Is there away to check and be sure. Thank you all for your time and help.

"They think modem is bad."
Well, 250 lost connections in 13 hours does point in that direction. If they think the modem is bad,it is not up to you to check and be sure. Just get them to replace it.

If your ADSL modem is powered by an adapter that is plugged in to the wall (commonly also referred to as a 'wall wart' or a power brick) then there is a chance that could be your problem. try changing it, it's surprising how often these things fail.

When we first got DSL we had the similar problems as well as low throughput. Our problem was a noisy phone line. Changed the house line and now runs good. Dropout down to under once a month. So try checking your phone line.
