Specs: Windows XP
An ex bf thought it would be funny to password lock my computer. The Administrator has a password as well as the rest of the log on names. I restarted the computer and put it in safe mode etc. I cant bypass anything it comes up to Administrator and it requires a password. Can I get around it some how and reset all passwords without having to reinstalling everything on my computer?

If that doesn't work for you, try the following. I've used it several times...worked every time:

You can try going to Run=>type "cmd"=>type "net user"=>type the user name [space] *

eg. C:\Documents an Settings\Lee>net user Bill *

it'll say to put in a password for this user and then press enter(you'll need to do it twice) and there that users pasword is changed. It's a good joke aswell!

The easy way is to reset it with some tool.

Otherwise you may have to use a live cd to find it. op h cra ck live cd. You have to put that back to gether.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
