I recently added an ATA133 card because my motherboard only supports ATA66 as the fastest speed for accessing the HDD's. I have placed my boot disk, and my backup disk on this bus, but I have a question. If I put 2 hard drives on the built in IDE0, and I need to install Windows, will the drives on IDE0 appear as C:\ and D:\ to the Windows XP setup program, or will the hard drives on IDE2 be seen as C:\ and D:\?
I have set my BIOS to boot from IDE2. I would like to know, because I need to transfer some files off of an old HDD, and use it for more backups. Does anyone have an answer?

From my experience with WinXP it's a crapshoot. I have disabled drives and added them back in and I never know how XP is going to assign drive letters. There have been times when I had to manually reassign the drive letters and ended up with a system that wouldn't boot and had to be reinstalled.
