bought a new video card for my computer. just wondering... when I go to install it, do i remove the video in the hardware devices first? right now it has onboard video.

You could uninstall the drivers and the video in device manager and then shutdown. Install the new card and restart. Immediately enter the BIOS screens and if there is an option to disable the onaboard, do so. If not then set the amount of RAM dedicated to the onboard as low as is allowed. Exit the BIOS and boot to windows. When Windows attempts to install the new card hit cancel. After fully running, install the drivers and software from the CD that came with the card.
