Comment: I want to add second hard disk to my system Please tell me how to do from partitioning stage ? Can I partition it in the presence of master if second is put as slave ? Tell me complete detail ed procedure.

Reply: (edit)Partition? No, you don't need to partition anything.
Just set the jumper on you're present hard drive to Master (which I’m sure its already set to) and set the jumper on the second hard drive to Slave, and your bios should do everything for you, unless its a really old computer. Thats as detailed as it can get!

Reply: (edit)If you have an older board make sure it supports the size of the drive you want to install! It depends on the build of the board and the bios version. Mostly a bios update will help but some firms don't provide new bios versions for bigger drives or there may be a hardware restriction. You have to check that on the board manufacturers site!
There are also programs provided by the drive manufacturers (for example EZ-Drive) to go around the restrictions but a bios update will be better if possible!
