ACPI Blue Screen

Microsoft Windows 95

Specs: Windows 95
I have a hard drive that I traded some stuff for. It has windows 95 on it and it can somewhat work fine

the BIOS loads just fine then I get the error message of an unexpected shut down, and that it needs to run scandisk(which is strange because it has been a while since the hard drive was used) and then after the scandisk it restarts and loads the Windows 95 Loading screen. however it goes to a Blue Screen with the 0x000000A5 error message and says that the BIOS is not fully compatiable with the hard drive.

I was wondering if I can get some help with this.

The hard drive could be damaged. Try loading up a boot floppy disk with chkdsk and run a chkdsk /f on the drive.
Also it might be time to upgrade your OS. Win 95 is over 15 years old. Consider going to a free Linux OS like Fedora or Ubuntu.

Well I already have some hard drives that I plan to put ubuntu and all them on. I just want a Win 95 for the fun of it. I found out the problem too. chkdsk works fine and the ACPI Blue screen was coz I had 1 GB of RAM in the computer. I took out a 512 MB stick and it's working fine now. however After it loads I get that the system registry is corrupted and that I need to reinstall a fresh copy but I do not know where I can get the tools to do that. I got a hard drive with Windows 2000 that is missing the ntfs.sys file to. then i got 2 hard drives with XP on it and a hard drive with Vista on it. I just like to collect the older type stuff in case some people still have them you know?
