i recently brought a AMD Athlon XP 2800+ to run on my Acorp 7KT400A motherboard but the Athlon wont run over 2200+ which is th 1.8 settings and the problem is i sure the CPU running where i brought it at the 2800 any help would be great

The normal setting for a 2800 is 166 x 12.5 = 2075mhz

cant change the multiplyer on the bios or moterboard you only get the FSB which if you set to 166 the computer turns the cpu into a 1345 and the computer becomes unstable
