Acer travelmate 220 won't turn on

I have an Acer Travelmate 220 model# MS2109 and running Windows XP Professional. Recently, It doesn't want to turn on. I plug it into the wall, hit the power switch, and nothing happens.

Try this - remove the main battery from the laptop. Unplug it from the wall. Hold down the power button for 15-20 secs. Leaving the battery out, plug it back into the wall and see if it starts.
