Acer Monitor "No Signal"

Specs: Windows 10
My desktop has been working perfectly fine for the past 5 months and I went ahead and just moved it to my bedroom upstairs and now when I plug in everything the monitor says "no signal" when I connect it with the same hdmi cord

Possibly the display adapter (presuming it's not a built-in/on-board) one hath come slightly dislodged during the move?

Also are you absolutely sure you're plugging the hdmi cable into the correct socket on the desktop? I suggest that it may be you're inadvertently trying to connect into a usb port: and it has happened here recently - just that.

Also can you test with anotherhdmi cable?

Sounds like you have a video card installed & you are plugging the cord into the onboard socket.

In other words you have two connectors.

Either you jarred something loose inside the case when you moved it, or you've incorrectly reconnected the cables.
