acer aspire touch-pad cursor problems

Acer Aspire as5742z-4646 notebook
June 20, 2011 at 08:20:44
Specs: Windows 7, intel pentium P6200
The cursor has simply frozen. Tried many times to unfreeze by rebooting and nothing happens. Have bought a wireless mouse that works on another Acer Aspire, but will not load-up or work on mine. The computer is only 6 months old. What to do?

Try a System Restore, either using the cursor keys to move around in Windows, or by using System repair (F8 at boot, or a System disk). Then if that doesn't work as it's only 6 months old I'd return it to the supplier to sort out.
