Acer Aspire L100

Specs: XP
I have a faulty Acer Aspire L100. I've put it down to the motherboard being at fault. I've had a look inside and the board is a Foxconn C51s01-3.1-8EKSH I've looked everywhere but can't seem to find one. All I can find is a Version 2.1 board. Does anyone know what difference there is between the two and if this board will work? I ideally want a straight swap so I don't have to strat messing about with reinstalling windows etc.

ACER use a customised Foxconn Motherboard, with their own BIOS.

May we know how come the motherboard is at fault ??

The computer will not power up, no lights, no fans nothing. The power adaptor is fine (tested it on another machine) . I've removed memory, hard disk etc and it still refuses to work, and so I'm assuming its the motherboard. If you could tell me where I can get a replacement, I'd be very gretaful. I've just been on ACER website and anything out of warrenty and they don't want to know!
