Im having trouble with my laptop, when I turn it on the Acer emblem pops up, but then it says preparing automatic reapaur, then the screen goes blank and nothing happens. Any ideas? I tried the alt f10, alt fn f10. Nothing happens

This at odd times unsticks computers:
Turn off, remove from domestic power and remove main battery. Now hold the Power Off/On button down for at least 20 seconds to discharge the motherboard components. See if it helps at all.

Can't help with software as I'm not really a Linux person.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Another to try.

How to use a Lazesoft Windows Recovery CD or USB device to fix the boot problems if your Windows operating system does not start correctly.
"It is very common for PC users to be faced with a Windows crash. When this happens, the dreaded 'Blue Screen of Death' pops up, or your PC has a black screen and can not boot or start up"
