Specs: Windows 7
Sometimes we get no signal on the monitor, sometimes we get an image saying ACER but it doesnt move beyond that point, sometimes we get a few words that are illegible because of the hazy screen and the flashing colours. Just occaisionly, and now is one of those times, we can get on. We have seen some talk of a start up disc but dont have the know how. Can anyone help?

Try a new monitor signal cable and/or a different monitor just to get those two possibilities out of the way.

If neither helps, repost but be sure to mention what you've already tried.

The hazy screen and the flashing colours may occur by a RAM problem. If you have 2 RAM modules in your notebook, you can try to remove one memory module and try to boot the laptop. Later, try to boot the laptop with the other memory module.
