Doese anyone know about these laptops? It stated on box it had 120 GB Harddrive. I looked in the my computer it had C named acer drive 52.6 and the D drive named data its 52.3. Why is the 120 GB partitioned into 2 drive? There is no recovery image in the D drive. Is it safe to delete the D and extend the C to full capticty?
What do i put here if i don't put a question?

I usually setup my drives like this though I make the C: smaller.
I use Ghost to make periodic backup images of my C: drive to a folder on my D: drive. It gives a great UNDO if something (like a virus or a buggered software install) happens to the C: drive.

Yes i understand but do i need 52.3 GB for backup? I need more on my C drive.

Thanks that poster stated he didn't get the Windows Anytime upgrade disk. I got that disk with mine. Is that a reinstall disk? Thats the only disk i got. What about the drivers?

"do i need 52.3 GB for backup?"
I try to keep my C: small so that it backs up quickly into a smaller file. I install core software ... like PC-cillin and Spy Sweeper to the C: drive but other software like MS Office and Photoshop to the D: drive. I usually store data on the D: and the folder for my Outlook email is on the D: drive.
I can make a Ghost image of my C: and write it to the D: drive (fast), to DVD media (takes lots of DVDs), or to an external HDD (this takes a very long time!). It is faster to write an image to the D: and then copy that image to an external HDD using USB 2.0
For Windows XP, a C: partition of 10-15 GB is more than adequate so I let the rest of the drive make up my D: I don't know what a good size is for a Vista C: partition.
