Recently I turned my laptop on, removed a CD and turned it back off. When I went to turn the laptop back on the next day it did nothing. The battery and power lights blinked then went out in less that a second. Laptop never came on. I thought it was the battery so I got a new battery but it did the same thing. When the lights went out, I had to disconnect the battery then reconnect it again. After connecting it again, I then plugged in the AC power cord and the battery light came back on. Power light never comes on unless the battery light is on and I hit the power button and both blink then goes out. Please advise what the problem could be or what I need to try to get my laptop back on again. Thanks

there are several configurations to try: *power cable with battery in laptop *power cable with battery removed *battery with no power cable if none of these configurations allow you to boot into the BIOS, then you definitely have a hardware problem. If your laptop is not under warranty, your options are pay a professional to fix it (if it's even fixable), or buy a new one.
