Ive got an Acer 4720z laptop and it wont see a DVD+R DL disc. It sees the regular DVD RW disc, but for some reason it doesn't see the dual layered disc.
Acer specs say that this computer should see dual layered disc. Ive checked the driver and its OK with the latest one. Any ideas?
According to Acer's own spec-sheet, the optical drive on the 4720z varies by model. It could be: (1) 8x DVD-Super Multi
or
(2) DVD/CD-RW ComboOnly option (1) can read/write dual-layer media.
This is the installed device...HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA T40N ATA. Does it support dual layered disc?
