When you say you have filled up the memory, do you mean you have filled up the hard disk space.

Memory is RAM, a different thing altogether but they are both measured in bytes.

To transferee applications from hard disk to SD card is not just a matter of copying them over. You need to install them from the hard disk and reinstall them to the SD card. This is because there will be entries in the registry that will be pointing to the original install location. JUst copying them over and they probably wont work.

There may be some applications that will not even install to an SD card as they require a fixed disk and SD Cards are not all that reliable.

You would be better freeing up some space on the hard disk or buying another hard disk.

I think the acer 200 is a tablet.

You need one of these I think,

A thank you would be nice, if I have helped.

Stuart, the Acer 200 is a tablet device, not a laptop. Changing the hard drive is not an option as it does not have one. It uses solid state storage, a portion of which is designated as memory, a term all the manufacturers use for such devices (including smartphones), so it's unfair to criticise the OP for doing the same.

Hi Thehydes,

would suggest you do * NOT* consider an sd card as an extension of the tablet's storage.

They are meant for using as backup or moving files to another machine.

They are known to be unreliable and many horror stories can be found on this website proving such. Thus when using for backing up take at least two copies.

Same advice goes for thumbdrives.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

Looks like memory cards are what that tablet uses for expanded memory. See the specs below.
