Its been a while since I did my recording using
the internal microphone,but its not responding.
Can this be a driver issue ? Do I need to install a new driver to get the microphone working again ?
I have re-installed xp since then.

Ok something very scary just happend, after I posted this. I went home, turned on the troubled notebook pc, and walla, suddenly there
are 2 extra options in the advanced sound settings, one called microphone in and the other something else, microphone was put on mute. I would love to know what caused this new
option, it does not make sense. Its almost like my pc knew I was going to investigate why its microphone was not working.
I never touched this setting after I re-installed xp about 10months ago.
