Hi all-
I probably waited too long to ask, since I'll be home in a week or so....but - I had opened up my router for remote administration and the Verizon Westell has a link to "access shared files". It worked fine from home, using the external access URL and I was even able to access one of my home machines from the secure internal network at my office. Now I'm on the road and if keeps saying "file://computername/ not found". Basically I have no television here, just internet and I set up my home theater PC to record stuff for me to watch while away, but now I can't access it! I've heard everything from "port forwarding" to "you need to set up the local machine at home differently". I can remotely administer the modem, so I can change port forwarding rules if needed, but I know nothing about it. If anyone has a clue and can give some detailed help, that would be great!
Thanks!
Virtual Bob
