hi, any help will be greatly appreciated! my old pc is
partially crashed-i am unable to get past 'no signal"
message on monitor despite new video card. the light
indicating hard drive activity does light so i am assuming/
hoping the drive is still viable. i have purchased a new pc
and am wondering what my best option is for getting to
my data on old drive. the old is xp (not OEM) while new pc
is vista. any and all help is greatly appreciated!!! thanks!!!

Take out your old hard drive from the old pc and put it in your new computer. When you load into Vista you should be able to see a new drive under my computer considering it's already formatted since xp is on it. Then go into that drive and you should be able to transfer your files from the old hard drive to your new pc.

If it's broke, then blow that sucka up!

Could try a live cd.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
