Hi.. I've been having problems with The SpeedTouch USB Modem. One day it just stopped working, and i can't seem to get any line sinc on it. Anyhow, i was wondering if i were to switch to a High Speed Modem, would this solve the problem?

If you cant get the linc light to sinc then it is a problem with your exchange, meaning you rline has not been activated. My advice is get in contact with your isp and tell them the linc light is not seeking. They will get in to contact with BT or do something to get it working it not a problem from your end!!!!!!!!!!11

I have the same Broadband connection as you. I too could not make a connection one day. I called the help line to check on the status and they reported my Firewall (Zonealarm) was preventing them from 'pinging' the connection. I dis-abled Zonealarm and the connection worked. I re-enabled Zonealarm again and did not change any of the settings and the Broadband connects just as it did before. I will not tone down the settings unless independant advice suggests it is wise to do so, besides, it worked before and still works now nearly two months later.
