Just a guess but I could be wrong - Make sure the jumpers for your sound header are set correctly. They should be at factory default.

Are you using powered speakers?
Are you sure they are OK?

Have you checked your sound levels?
Whether the main sound level is muted?

Your speakers must be amplified.

"....tried all ports still no sound."

Why would you do that? See your manual!

Are you using 2 speakers, or more. If you are using more, see your manual!

If you have a header on the mboard for front headphone/mic but you are not using them and you do not have them wired up yet, there often must be jumpers installed on the header - they usually are there by default, but if they aren't there you will have no sound - also,if you wire that incorrectly to the front headphone/mic jack, you can have no sound - see your manual!
