Ac'97, littile sound, ?no sound?

CPU/Ram: 256mb/2.5ghz

hi i was wondering why im getting low sound when im turning up my speaks i have my speaks are on max at the moment and i can only just hear sound, any thoughs? iv reinstalled windows and drivers, i was wondering if it was using the wrong codec

Have you tried volume control in windows to turn up?
Type volume control in seach panel (all files & folders line) then click line in and adjust slider to your liking
