Specs: Windows XP, 2 gb
Hi...my name is Wasay.I want to ask a question about my processor that i got my processor 3.6 Ghz Intel core 2 duo.I forgot model no.but when i open my computer properties it displays processor 1.8,1.8.What does it mean?Is my processor 3.6 or 1.8.Plz tell me.And one more thing that when we say that my processor is 3.6 or else,are we mean that one core processor is 3.6 or ouar total processor is 3.6?

Download and Install HWINFO32, this software will list the CPU speed/type etcetcetc.

Also if you have a Laptop it will throttle back speed of CPU!

For product you entered "Intel Core 2 duo e7500 dual core processor". The E7500 runs at 2.93GHz (11 x 266MHz).


Where are you getting the 1.8GHz from? If it is a dual core at 1.8GHz, the speed is 1.8GHz. You do NOT add the two cores together to come up with 3.6GHz. But as Pater pointed out, if it's a laptop/notebook you're asking about, the CPU speed will vary depending on load.
