I'm still dont know what exactly a Chipset is? when i went through intel site I found more that 20 models!,the features there are something similar to motherboard features(DDR,USB,SATA,...etc.)so if the chipset has all that what remain for the motherboard to have?
A motherboard chipset controls all the data that flows through the data channels (buses) of the motherboard. The primary function of the motherboard chipset is to direct this data to the correct area's of the motherboard, and therefore the correct components.
