I'm working on a computer with an old abit motherboard. I believe it's an abit5v. it has the same specs and features as the 5v I found in research but a slightly different layout. possibly another version. it's running a pentium166 and has a western digital caviar 23200 3.2 gig HD. I ran the win98 disc to repair corrupted files and now it runs good like it used to. I'm going to upgrade it to an AMD K6-2 and add some more RAM to get it set up for the internet however when it loads the windows program there is a fast steady series of beeps continously comming from the case speaker as the HD works. the HD checks out fine throughout the bios and has no problems resetting the OS. is there a hard drive problem? I'm leary of upgrading it if that's the case
