A-8 envelope won't print

I am using WordPerfect 8 to address and print envelopes. The page setup does not have an A-8 choice so I created one . I put the dimensions in for an A-8 and the correct orientation. Whenever I attempt to print this envelope the printer give me an error of "wrong paper size or type". I can print on 6.5X11 paper using the envelope A-8 selection. But when I attempt to print an actual A-8 envelope I get the same error msg. How do I fix?

What is the error message? Are you using the custom envelope size to create the custom envelope? Or are you using custom paper size?

What's the make and model of printer? Is there a manual feed tray?

The printer is a HP C4140 and the eroor msg says 'Wrong paper size or type. Correct and press "OK"'. The error msg appears on the printers display.

Look to see if you can create a custom ENVELOPE size, instead of custom paper size. The paper size may have been too small.
If that won't work you can probably use the template for the closest size envelope and adjust the text so it is where you need it. May take a couple of tries.

I did just that. I created a Custom envelope size using the dimensions I found on the web rather than the actual dimensions I got when I measured with a ruler. Difference was only about 1/8" but it worked.
