I want to install a RAID system after I have set up a single HD system. I believe I have the ability with an existing SATA Hitachi HD (7200rpm), and a RAID compatible MB: Asus P4P800SE.
Is it difficult to set up a RAID system after the fact?

It depends on what level of RAID you want. If you want RAID 1 (mirroring), it's not difficult. You'll simply install a second drive and tell the RAID manager to create a RAID 1 array and make a duplicate of your existing drive. If you're talking about RAID 0 (striping), I believe you must create the array prior to install the operating system and software. I don't think RAID 0 can be done after the fact.
