Hi All

Just wanted to write and say:

1) Many thanks to everyone on here who has helped me get my "first born" up and running. A 15 second boot up to a system that is as sweet as it can be (without a decent hard drive... next pay check)

2) Has anyone EVER bought any hardware that has come with free third-party software of any value whatsoever?!

3) Great news - I actually solved a problem using the Windows Hardware troubleshooter. I've been trying that thing with problems for around 6 years now.

Cheers everyone

Tom

WD and Maxtor hard drives come with great utilities for free.

Sony optical drives come with Nero and/or NTI software that are pretty good.

Asus motherboards, while not my board of choice, come with a cool overclocking utility.

Most optical drives will include burning software - Nero OEM is a favourite.
