hi, Just a small question Which graphics card is better Radeon 9200 or GF4 mx? I hav a GF4 mx was wondering if Radeon was a much better choice, I dont know much about ATI so i got a GF.Wil there be a huge performance gain or will it (if i had the 9200)or will it not be noticable? ,does the 9200 support directX 9 ? cheers Andy

the performance gain is of course alot better since the gf4mx is nothing but a spruced up gf2 gts ultra and abit more. the 9200 is also dx9 card but i wouldn't go for any of them. DX9 would be noticable for the very new games of today but if your system doesn't support 8x agp theres no point because your system will run it at 4X agp... this will also be hindered if ur system becomes the bottleneck of the performance... ie if ur system has less than 256ram, cpu is slow etc... personally i would go for the radion 8500 128mb its a dx8 board but it can be overclocked decently to out perform the 9200 purely on dx8 and not on dx9, it also cheaper (purchase on ebay)... another option is to buy the GF4 ti 4200, this card is better then the 9200 and also the 8500 and its slightly more expensive but the performance is noticable purely on dx8, however you can also pick these up for alot less than retail on ebay... of all the cards mention i would buy the gf4ti4200 and if you have alittle more money i would buy the R9600 non-pro.

The Radeon 9200 is not a Direct X 9 card. Save a bit more money and go for the Radeon 9600 Pro or 9600XT.

I used to be a fan of the 8500, but the MX440 beats it & it's cheaper. Let your wallet & these charts be your guide
