And besides those two cards you can also consider getting a 4850 card. And I would say 4850 just because it's single slot, a bit cheaper and performs just about the same as a 9800GTX. Recently for the reason of 9800 GTX+ there is a price drop for the 4850 card, a recent deal on the ASUS Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card is $150 which is normally priced around $200. If you have time, the newer 9800 GTX+ should be coming out in July for a suggested retail price of $229. GeForce 9800 GTX+ is about 20% faster than the 4850, and die shrink reduces the heat output and power requirements of the card (it's about 10% faster than the original 9800 GTX).

Summary: It's a bit faster, but it's not going to make a HUGE difference. Or just get a Sapphire 9800 Pro with 256-bit memory, and flash it to XT. Have XT performance at the price of a pro. ;-) MCSE, MCSA Me...
