Hi, For awhile now i have not been able to output any picture/video via my graphics cards s-video out. It is connected via a homemade s-video to rca out cable. The funny thing is that the nvidia drivers and windows still detect that a t.v IS connected, when the s-video out cable is not connected. I have reinstalled windows tried various drivers but this did not help.

Maybe? but even if its not connected windows still recognises a second display. Unless the cable i made somehow messed with the impedance switch thingee that recognises if a second display is attached hrmm. Anyone know any fixes?
If you have a video card with more than one video out, device manager will always list a 2ndary display.

Update,It has never shown me that there was a secondary display UNLESS it was properly plugged in. Well anyway i dont know what i did but i was fooling around with my multimeter trying to take a reading of the s-video to rca out cable but i couldnt get my multimeter going, however the next day i plugged an adapter into the dvi? port and ran my vga monitor off the other output to see if would make a difference, Which it didnt. So i continued to try other s-video cables i had lying around wiggling them around trying to get the dam thing to work. The next day i boot up my computer to find that the monitor is not going? Huh so i restart again, same thing again then i get a hunch and connect my T.V up i can faintly see a desktop screen when i switch channels to and from A.V on the T.V (usually it stays blank)i wiggle the plug abit and voila i get a clear desktop. I dont know wat i did myabe a shorted the the s-video to RCA cable when i attempted to probe it OR the s-video port was shot and wiggling it around and trying other s-video cables made it work. I had already tried for hours wiggling it around previously but NOT trying other cables. BTW this was a sparkle 6600gt AGP .
Summary: hey all, i bought an Nvidia 6600gt (used to have radeon 9250) about 2 weeks ago, up until yesterday it worked beautifully using the drivers that were on the cd with the card. but now i'm getting these...
