64 bit card in 32 bit PCI slot

My motherboard, Asus A7V family, has 32 bit PCI slots. Will a 64 bit PCI card work when installed in these slots? I guess I only need the short answer to this one.

depends on the card but usually yes. you want to check the voltage of the slot and the card 3.3 or 5volt. For example my intel fiber network cards are 64bit but also fit 32bit and do either 3.3 or 5v.
