+5VSB important?

Gateway 2000

Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Pentium 1.0 GHz / 256 MB of RAM
I picked up a junk computer from the dump recently. It
was an old Gateway 2000 with a Socket 7 Pentium
200MHz processor in it. Upon inspection, I noticed that the power
supply in it was the same but older model as one that
went bad in a newer slot 1 Pentium 3 Gateway 2000 that I have.
Every single rail is rated the same except the 5 volt
standby. The newer but bad power supply had the +5VSB
rated at 1.7A, while the one I found in the old system was
only 0.1A. Can I still use this power supply in the newer
Gateway 2000? I'm thinking probably not, but would just
like a second opinion. Thanks!

Never mind, I did some more research, and I decided I don't want to try it. Thanks guys.
