I have some Creative Labs 5.1 speakers, for which there is a little black control unit, allowing you to change the volume and bass.
There is also a small LED on this controller which indicates whether there is any power. My problem is that this frequently pulsates when I am playing music or any audio.
The LED gets dimmer, the volume level drops... after a few seconds it picks up again at the full volume. Of course, I keep adjusting it to try to keep everything at the same volume but it just ends out that it turns really loud when it "picks up" again.
The transformer, I've noticed, gets quite hot in use, which is why I moved it to an airated section of my desk. However, it didn't really seem to make a difference. The power seems to still "pulsate".
Any ideas?
Thanks,
James

The LED no doubt goes dim every time the drummer hits the bass drum right? The power supply is too small, or at least the current is not getting to the amplifier. check the power connections and make sure they are clean and tight. If all connections are okay then you will need to go to a larger power supply. Of course you could play the music at a slightly flatter frequency (less bass)

Another possibility is the volume control. They sometimes develop a problem. Rotating the control over the range several times to clean the connections, 'might' clear up the problem temporarily.
