Comment:

I have a Compaq laptop with a 4-pin 1394 connection. I can use a 4-6pin cable and hook it to another computer and it works fine, but it does not work when I hook it to my external harddrive. Some external harddrive say they are iLink compatiable. Is that the same as a 4-pin?
