I read somewhere that you need to have a newer chipset to use simms with a 4K refresh rate. Does anyone know if the SIS 5598 will work with the 4k simms?

Not sure what your asking but will comment on something. I don't believe current systems are using SIMMS memory. What is being used are DIMMS. The most widely used now is probably DDR. DDR comes in different speeds. PC2100/DDR266 = 7.5ns PC2700/DDR333 = 6ns PC3200/DDR400 = 5ns There is faster memory than that but it isn't standardized.
