I have just changed my Power Supply Unit, on my old PSU it had a 3 pin male plug from which I plugged in a 3 pin female plug and it displayed the LCD and lit the front of the case up. Unfortunately this new PSU does not have a 3 pin male connector. Apart from the motherboard connectors (24 way only using 20, the SATA and floppy connections all the others are the standard 4 pin connectors. Is there a convertor from 4 pin to 3 pin male; or is there any other way I can connect this please.

That is a very touchy problem. If I were you I would leave things alone and not experiment with trying to adapt your new power supply to your case.
New PSUs have a 4 pin plug for supplying more power to the motherboard. I don't think it has anything to do with connecting to your case LCD and lights.
I think you should have purchased a PSU identical to the old one.
Do yourself a favor BACKUP!

Sorry I might have misled you or not explained myself very well. The 4 pin plug I was referring to are the connectors that connect to the CD or DVd player or Hard drive etc.

Ummmmmmmm not really no. Looking at the picture what I need is a 3 pin male MOLEX connector and at the other end a 4 pin male MOLEX connector to plug into the existing MOLEX connectors that are attached to the power unit. So I guess its a converter from 4 pin MOLEX to 3 pin male MOLEX
